Centered means to be stable and secured.
For the believer, Jesus is the means by which we become stable and secure — not tossed and insecure. As a worthy center, He binds all things tightly, not allowing them to be unraveled under His Sovereign protection. In Jesus we find a secured hope, faith, love, present and future; a stable foundation, an unshakable rock, and everlasting faithfulness. Centered is an album that seeks to remind and encourage every believer to find his or her true center in the Lord Jesus Christ. For those who wouldn’t call Jesus their Lord and Savior, the hope is that the gospel aroma on these songs will irresistibly draw you to Jesus.
May we all find security and stability in the aromatic notes of the Christ the Lord! Colossians 1:15-23

It is the mission of DOXA to provide theologically rich, contextually relevant, gospel-centered, God-glorifying music to, through, from, and for the urban context. Using vintage, current, urban, and congregational music styles, and through comprehensive lifestyles of worship, the members of DOXA seek to be a living and breathing doxology to the praise of the glory of His grace.
The Greek word doxa literally means “glory.” Through musically excellent psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, DOXA invites believers to behold the glory of God in the face of Christ and respond to Him in worship, as well as equip them for the work of ministry.
Led by music director Aaron Johnson, DOXA fuses elements of gospel, jazz, neo-soul, R&B, and CCM during the writing and creative process. DOXA also adapts songs for their context, rearranging them for an expressive congregational worship experience. DOXA understands that the church has been set apart to glorify God–both where we live and dwell and during times of corporate worship through song.
