DOXA is the ministry of worship through song at Epiphany Fellowship Church in Philadelphia, PA (Dr. Eric Mason, Founder & Lead Pastor).
The Greek word doxa (δόξα) means “glory.” Through musically excellent psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, DOXA invites all people to behold the glory of God through Jesus Christ and respond to Him in glorious worship, as well as equip them for the work of ministry.
It is the mission of DOXA to provide theologically rich, contextually relevant, gospel-centered, God-glorifying music to, through, from, and for the urban context. Using vintage, current, urban, and congregational music styles, and through comprehensive lifestyles of worship, the members of DOXA seek to be a living and breathing doxology to the praise of the glory of His grace.
DOXA fuses elements of gospel, jazz, Neo-soul, R&B, and CCM during the writing and creative process. DOXA also adapts songs for their context, rearranging them for an expressive congregational worship experience. DOXA understands that the church has been set apart to glorify God — both where we live and dwell and during times of corporate worship through song.
Aaron Johnson | DOXA Ministry Leader & Executive Music Director
Aaron Johnson has been with Epiphany Fellowship Church and DOXA since 2006.
As Music Director, it’s Aaron’s pleasure and delight to see people come to know Jesus Christ, experience His mercy and forgiveness, and worship Him alongside others who have been changed by His grace. Among his responsibilities is overseeing the song choices and arrangements for DOXA, as well as training and developing other worship leaders.
A gifted pianist, organist, and drummer, Aaron has worked as a producer and editor on multiple albums, but the Lord has given him a passion for ministry through and to the local church. In addition, he has written and/or arranged much of the music used in the Sunday gatherings. He gets a great sense of joy when he sees people singing corporately to the glory of God.
Aaron and his wife have been used to equip the local church through teaching, workshops, panel discussions, and worship leadership opportunities at numerous churches and conferences across the country.
Aaron was born and raised in Philadelphia and is happily married to Tiffany. They have one daughter, Victoria.
Tiffany Johnson | Deacon & Vocal Leader
Tiffany Johnson has been with Epiphany Fellowship Church and DOXA since 2006.
Tiffany was born in Baltimore, MD, and was raised in several places: Key West, FL; Raleigh/Durham, NC; and Dallas, TX. Tiffany graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin, where her relationship with Christ began. After completing her studies, she moved back to Dallas and worked in corporate America for 10 years. Sensing a call to a deeper level of ministry training, Tiffany left her corporate job to attend seminary full time. In the middle of her master’s program, she responded to God’s calling and moved to Philadelphia to be an urban missionary with Epiphany. Tiffany has a deep passion to see women discipled in the faith “so that the word of God will not be dishonored” (Titus 2:5b).
Tiffany and her husband have been used to equip the local church through teaching, workshops, panel discussions, and worship leadership opportunities at numerous churches and conferences across the country.
Tiffany is happily married to Aaron, and they have one daughter, Victoria.

His ministry verse is Jeremiah 15:16, “Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts.”

Marcus Lambert | Assistant Music Director
Marcus Lambert has served with DOXA for five years as a guitarist and now as an assistant music director. His greatest desire is to point others to encounter the Lord and to remind them of the Savior’s great love. Marcus’ passion to serve the Lord through DOXA increases as God grows and stretches him. He lives with an awareness of his brokenness before the Lord that fosters gratitude for God’s unmerited favor towards him.
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.’ Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9 (CSB)
